Each member brought his or her own style, with influences ranging from Minus the Bear, Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, Phish, Dave Mathews Band, and Wilco, and the result was a sound the band has trouble defining.

Do it to Julia reside in the mountains of North Carolina, where for nearly three years have been living and creating music appropriate of their surroundings.



Archie Carroll is the debut album of Do It To Julia and it is clear this band is going places.

It is a powerful indie-folk rock album, ranging from driving intensity to uplifting, Appalachian warmth.



In the winter of 2007 the band signed a one album contract with Split-Rail records and has since recorded their first full-length album entitled “Archie Carroll," which was released in October 2008

We are now fully accepted and posted on CD Baby, which means the album is now available online in several different areas
